I'm still here!

I'm sure you're all just as busy as we are!

Here is what's happening at home:

- the christmas stuff is down
- Lillie is so excited to be back in school, along with Autumn
- I've made no new year's resolution, I never do.  I work on stuff all year round. Why make it a special  time of the year?
- sorry my blog is messed up, I'm working on that... as soon as I have time!
-  this month I want to de cutter... Paul claims I don't have much to get rid of!!  I guess that mean I want to organize and do some deep cubbard cleaning.

Here is what's happening with Servant Hands:

-sloooowww,  snowwwww  Can't have inflatable out in the winter.  Booking are few and far between.
- we leave for Columbus Georgia this weekend for a program.  We will be doing kids church while the adults have a special guest speaker name Perry Stone.  Inflatables will be going inside along with our program.
- looking to purchase 2 new pieces of equipment in the next few months.

Here is what's happening with FAith FAmily:

- we are in need of a larger trailer
- we are doing the 21 day Daniel fast (fruits, veggies and water).  We started on January 3rd, my birthday :D  Lot of our church members are fasting for the first time.  So exciting!  Autumn is fasting her Nintendo DS.
- we love seeing new families each week
- we have a special speaker coming in this week because we are in Georgia

There you have it!  Just a little to let you know the Dietzels are still around and are not slacking in any way, shape or form!!

Who needs Santa when you've got the Grinch

My dad dressed up as the Grinch on Christmas day. He sang the theme song and handed out gifts!!  The kids loved it.  I think the Grinch as to come every year now!  Granny Runt and Granddad have started a new tradition!

A blessed Christmas

Merry Christmas 2009

Christmas Pj's

Something you Need, Something you Want and a Surprise!

So Christmas morning when we got up there was no power!!  It had just went out so the house was not cold yet.  It was still dark and I wanted to hold off and little longer so I would have good photos.  I'm sure you know that their was no way on earth that was going to happen.  So the photos are bright and not the best,  but there are lots of great memories.  No video this year either because it was to dark.  The power came on about 1 1/2 hours later.

Stockings... My favorite!  I loved my stocking as a kid.

We were walking through Gordans Food Store around Thanksgiving time and Autumn fell in love with the sight of this HUGE jar of banana peppers.  She told us that's what she wanted for christmas!

Lillie love chocolate milk so as you can see... she was so excited to get some chocolate.  We had been out for several weeks!  On purpose of course!

Autumns Surprise gift.   A little notebook.

Lillies Surprise gift... a Lee Middleton doll.

Hope your Christmas was Merry and Bright!

One of our family traditions

Something you WANT, something you NEED, and a Surprise!

We started this when Lillie was born, these 2 photos were taken in 2006.

This is Chrismas 2007,  the girls also get Pj's the night before and their stock on Christmas morning.

This was Christmas last year, 2008.  The boxes work great for us.  There are times when I put several items in a box.  It just depends on the price of the items and sometimes how we are doing financially.   The girls know what to expect when Christmas comes around.  We have found that this is a great way of giving in our house!

Merry Christmas everyone!  I'll see you after Christmas!

Santa came to FAith FAmily

Faith Family had a full house this weekend!  It was so exciting to have 91 people!

Santa came to visit all of the Faith Family kids and adults!
Doesn't he look great!! He is the Geneses Valley Mall Santa.  What an honor for us to have him with us.  He stayed for the whole service!   I took photos of all the families.  They will be picking them up next week at church along with a special gift for the kids.

At the end of the service we gave out free gift wrap and gift bags.  Each family received 15 rolls of paper and 20 gift bags.

Detroit Children's Hospital

This Saturday we headed out to Detroit to the Children's Hospital.  This marks our 10th year here.  We just can't seem to shake'em!!  They must like us!

Santa show up every year to greet the children, give gifts and to smile for a photo.

We've seen these kids grow through the years.  All of these children and families have had someone in their family with a heart condition.  Thats why this group of kids is called, "The Ticker Club."

We go on before Santa, the one everyone is waiting for!

It's always a treat for us!  We feel very privileged to speak here every year!

Faith Family at 13 weeks old

It's been 13 weeks since the plant of Faith Family.  God is so amazing and faithful!  This photo here is our first Faith Family Brunch that we had two weeks ago, we had 65 people.  We are seeing new faces every week and are so blessed to be reaching families who have not been in church since they were kids themselves.  Our attendance has averaged 60 and even as high as 69.  The average age of our attendance is 22-35 with 50% of our children under the age of 10!  Now that is a healthy church!

The next two photos are of our first Friend Sunday.  Every family who brought a family, their name was placed in a drawing for dinner and a movie.  The family who won was able to take their family and their friends to dinner and a movie on us.

I feel honored and blessed to be chosen to take on this challenge of ministering to young families.  However I'm not sure on how great of a pastors wife I'll be.  This is all so new to me. (I'm still praying for a mentor for me)  We are all learning and growing together.  God showed us in a great way this week that we are in His will.  Not that we doubted him, because we jump out in faith knowing what he has called us to do.  But sometimes you just need Him to remind you that he is there and that your on the right track :D

I know that being in the YMCA allows us to do things out of the ordinary compared to the church that we have in the world today.   We are definitely not the typically church.  But with that being said we are not compromising the message of Jesus Christ in anyway.

Our goal at Faith Family is BETTER FATHERS, BETTER MOTHERS,STRONGER FAMILIES.  We want to see families worshiping together, learning together and growing together.   I believe we are well on our way...  no turning back!

Oh, by the way... we know have a music pastor!!  He started last week!  Now we are just waiting on musicians!    Drums, bass, singers.... anyone????

My sister in-law Kristen          That's My rear              This is my Mom

This toosh is for you!  This weeks photo challenge at I Heart Faces is "Tooshies"

I never just take photos for the photo challenge.  I just look through my archives of photos to see what I've got that fits the theme.  I'm not in it to win, just have fun!  This photo was taken in 2003 on Christmas morning.  I  was shopping that summer in Gatlinburg Tennessee and these treasures!  I bought these underwear for my brother, my dad and my sweet husband!  It was such a great surprise!  We all had a great laugh.

To see more tooshies go to I heart Faces.    Their sure to be much sweeter than mine!

Memory Lane Monday ...

2003 Kids Fest at Kings Island, Ohio

Autumn was three years old and enjoyed helping on stage.  This was her trick.  She would place this bucket on a persons head and blow up the head or so it looked that way.   Just a silly o' trick but the kids love to see her perform it.

There were several hundred kids here but I don't really remember exactly how many.  Sometimes I wish I would have journaled our travels.  We have so many great stories and memories.

Here is that famous straight jacket escape again!   Man I was skinny in that photo!!    Gone are those young mommy days :D  See that barrow in the background,  I used to escape from that!  Another day another photo!

Black Friday at Walmart

This black friday... I went only to help a few friends out.
It was so much fun to see all these crazy shoppers. I was up at 3:15 am and at Walmart by 4:00 am.
Surprisingly Walmart was open before 5:00 am and let everyone in to form lines by the items they
wanted to grab up. And I do mean grab! I hung out by the GPS that were on sale for $59
and $89. I was sucessful for a friend :D There were cops standing around to make
sure everything went over smoothly!  I personally did not come across a rude person.

A few tips... Ditch the cart, be nice and bring your camera!
If you never seen peopleofwalmart.com it is a must! Be prepared to die laughing!

What are people thinking???

Two years ago today I nearly lost my husband

This photo was taken on the day that Paul and I were told he could go home!

Two years ago today we were in ICU. (This is a post that I made when Paul had gotten out of the hospital, I had just started to blog.)

I had to call Paul's mom and tell her what was wrong with him. This is what the doctor told me to tell her...

"Paul is a very sick man, he has a Skin Infection and he will be here in the hospital for at least 4-5 day. "

Well, we started out the trip to the ER we thought that Paul had a hernia. Since that day Paul had to stay in this hospital for 16 days. He was in ICU for 7 days. It was a Holiday that we'll never forget. Doctors would come into the room and tell me they had no idea what was wrong with Him. He is so healthy they would say. After several bood cultures and test, he had a Strep A infection, Staph Infection and Fascitis. He was on several antibiotics & different pain meds that did'nt like him. This caused him to go a little loopy. Ok a lot. He had to be put on a ventilator for two night. This finally made him get much needed rest. They gave him a 30% chance of living, or a 70% chance of dying. However you want to look at it, it wasn't good. Through much love and prayers, Thanks be to Jesus Christ we moved out of ICU!

He put on 40 pounds of fluid from the infections and antibiotics weighting his heaviest at 286 pounds. They gave him a shot to help him pee of the weight. He lost 7-8 pounds during the night. (that's more than 1 gal. of milk) By the time he left the hospital he had lost 62 pound. He lost the 40 pounds plus some. He said this winter he wanted to loose 20 pounds. Now he's one skinny man!

From all the info and e-mails I received, I figure there were at least 22 churches that I know for sure praying for Paul that Sunday. People from coast to coast. Not counting friends & family around home.

I'm so thankful that I have my Paulie around for another holiday. I can't believe two Thanksgivings have past. I'm so thankful that my God answers prayer!
